Success Story: Sorrells Groves

When Sorrells Groves, Inc. approached us to help provide an electronic timekeeping solution we listened to their needs and vision. They were very knowledgeable in the H2A worker requirements and regulations. They knew what they wanted: a simple, accurate solution that incorporated regular and H2A workers, and could help them run their harvesting operation more efficiently. They took ownership of the product and put it to the test as we made some enhancements based on their recommendations.

Sorrells uses LandMagic™ Software, specifically FieldTime, to capture and calculate H-2A workers’ time and attendance in the field. Field Time supports a variety of field data collection devices and Sorrells selected the ibutton to provide to its workers. The ibutton is a simple device that has the employee number encoded on it and the worker makes physical contact with the ibutton reader which captures the worker #, time in/out eliminating the question of when a worker checked in our out. In addition, LandMagic™ streamlines the work flow process by capturing and calculating workers time, eliminating double entry for payroll, crew balancing, worker contract management , and generates reports to analyze performance by crew and/or individual worker. The result is time accountability and risk management.
